the Office living in the now...
Hello,

I have a small group of clown loaches and I wanted to make sure they are free from Internal Paracites.

They are in a 150g along with other wild caught fish (datnoides and wide bar SD's).

I have not purchased "Prohibit" yet but I think this is what google is pointing me towards.

I understand I should do 3 treatments to safe and I will.

My question is, what is the proper formula per gallon to treat my loaches. I have read http://www.loaches.com/disease-treatment/levamisole-hydrochloride-1/?searchterm=parasites and have seen the dosage calculation but I can not order Levamisole.

I would like to know the dosage calculation for "Prohibit" here but wanted to double check with the loach pro's here before I make the purchase and use it.

I would also like to know if prazi-pro would do the same thing as Prohibit cause I still have some of that laying around.

Thank you very much for looking,
Bomber the loach nub.

half a day... nothing?

What parasites are you exactly battling about? Nematodes, flatworms? Praziquantel is very limited in capacity to destroy parasites. It cannot kill off nematodes. You'd need levamisole hydrochloride, fenbendazole or flubendazole for that job.

What active ingredients does Prohibit have?

I'm battling Internal paracites in general.
Seems like Levamisole is very hard to come by. I have called over 7 different feed companies to see if they carry anything with this product in it and its all sold out.

Prohibit has Levasole in it.. cant find this in stock either.

I have found a product with fenbendazole in it but it comes in tablet form.
Lupin, or anyone else do you know the correct dosage of this product cause its mainly used for swine, cattle.

Thanks. I found some levasole and found out why they are so hard to find:ROFL:.
