Wanted to know if anyone here is working on a project car?

I was talking to my gf the other day, telling her that I had found a 69 Chevelle for sale for 8.5k, and it needed an engine and a tranny, but was otherwise in great shape save for the two. She asked what happened to purchasing the car I've always wanted (Subaru WRX STi)? But I told her id easily pass that up to have a beastly project car on my hands.

The Subaru costs around 38k brand new, but this car would be alot alot cheaper and its always been a dream of mine to own a classic car.

Does anyone else have one they are working on?

I'm restoring a '69 Mustang coupe. But I've been pretty busy in the last year and I really haven't had much time to work on it. I don't have a garage so I keep it at my brother in laws place which is a good 45 minutes away. If it was closer I would probably work on it a lot more. In the spring I'm probably going to move to my parents new house as soon as the 3 bay garage is done. It's only 10 minutes from me so that will be really helpful.

Been thinking about doing a three car garage thing, or go with my large shed for my koi pond and id have room for a car restoration as well. My grandfather owns an 80' shed for his cars, but only works on a few of them, but I would need a large plot of land in order to do that.

A project car is even something I talked about doing as a child.

i had a 99 trans am that i was working on. it kept breaking transmissions and was a money pit so i got rid of it. id love to get another 4th gen fbody and work it with a LSx engine
