I have a Marineland Tidepool sump filter in need of two parts to get it running. Due to other upgrades, it will be shelved again for a while, but it's on my mind.
The filter is in un used new condition with some parts still in packages...It was a craigslist catch.
I finally figured out how the filter works a couple of weeks ago. Going by what I understood about filters needing a intake and outtake , I was confused that this filter only had one tube to attach to the aquarium. I figured I didn't didn't understand wet dry filters/ sumps enough.
Then when it was explained to me, and I found out it did in fact need another tube attaching to the aquarium, I both understood the system better and what parts it needed to get it running. It needs a pump and a second tube.
I will probably use it for my 55 gal synodontis breeding tank. So...since the synodontis tank is having some mystery problems, no hurry either in getting a synodontis breeding tank filter going.
Does anyone have this system and what do you think of it?...
