I was plumbing the returns to my new 210 gallon the other day and In two places I forgot to apply pvc primer.

I had copious amounts of glue/primer on one end, and apparently I forgot to primer the inside of the pipe or vice/versa.

I'm just wondering if the pvc cement will work in the long run with no primer on one end before I stuck it in.

This is going to be a pressure application on the pipes..

Has anyone done this before?

i have never used primer in any application, whether it be wet, dry, or under pressure. i never had any issues

You'll be fine.

The pressure generated in aquarium systems is very low, which is why it isn't going to matter.

You guys will think i am nuts but, I had the the reverse, problem. I spilled my glue so I thought hum lets use just primer, never a leak, and It was impossible to take the pvc apart.
