I have a 135 gallon tank and that I want to use as a growout tank for my "soon to be" large fish. Here is what I have for now.

Jardini Aro
Jurenses Cat
Walking Cat
Lima Cat
Tire Track eel

They are all very small at the moment. Now I know that my type of arowana are known to be aggressive when older, but I purchased it because it got a bit smaller then the silver. Later that day I whent to a pet sotre I have never been too and saw a Black/Blue (cant remember the exact name) arowana. He looked really cool and Iv'e never heard of that species before. He was almost 4 times the price of mine but I would rather have that if it ensures my other tank mates will be safe.

What do you all think?

most likely it's a black arowana. some juveniles may possess some blue in their fins but would fade as they grow.

So would you say it's a better idea to sell the Jardini and get the Black?

Well originally you got the jardini because it got a bit smaller then the silver." Well a black aro can get as large as a silver, so still the same scenario. A black or silver would make for a better community fish, but will need the larger tank then a jardini.

Im not much concernd about size of tank now. After seeing a DIY from another member from this site, I have bigger plans for tank size ;)

Thanks. Any other comments welcome.
