I have mine in a tank that is far too small, (10 gallons), I know, I know!! Terrible. He was given to me along with the tank he was in. He's about 2 inches long right now but I know he'll get to about 6 inches. What size tank do you think I should get for him?

he'll get bigger than 6 inches.
i'd go with a 75+ gallon tank.
add a fish or two more with a bigger tank.

GT will get 8-9 inches, some can reach 12 inch (but not often). 55 - 75 gal is good.
:iagree:

A male grows to about 8-9". My brother has one in a 75 gal. It's about 6" and hes only owned it for 4 months.

Mines in a 56, but a 55 or a even a 75 would be nice. Might want to add some other fish if you get a 75, it would just look plain with 1 GT in a 75.

I've seen them in 40g breeders and they seemed to work well. But for the price of a 40g breeder you can get a 55g. Depending on if yours is male or female it should get 8-11 inches

a 55 would be good, although bigger is always better, especially if you want many tankmates
