Does anyone need protection for their hands/arms from aggressive Flowerhorns? I swear my 4 inch female is the devil incarnate! She's broken my skin from one of her bites already. I can't imagine what it will be like when she's bigger. I do small daily water changes and she's not afraid of the gravel vacuum. I gently push her away with it, but she's lightning fast. Her tank is a 37 gallon which is pretty tall, so I can't avoid getting my hands in the tank. Any tips on protecting myself?

Here's the little minx:

Thanks for the help!

Chase her around with a fish net in your hand when she moves in to attack. She should soon learn to leave you alone.

Been there...and they can draw blood. Best protection, keep your hands out of the water by extending the siphon with a pvc pipe...electric tape works well with the attachment and be sure the tip of the siphon extends past the pipe if you have substrate. Would probably work with a vacuum as well.

I use my fish tongs as spanking stick. I did it a few times and it has learn to back off when he sees the tongs. He still has no learn to back off from the water hose.
