so i am new to the whole breeding thing and i have a pair of cons who resently had a batch of babies. the eggs hatched on friday the 7th. all the survivors are now free swimming but the cons still wont let anyone near the babies. how long does this go on for? they are all still in my 90g until i get my 29 cycled. i find the parenting instincts of fish interesting. so this is definately a new experience for me. thanks in advance for information.

If they dont eat the fry, they should protect them untill they reach 1/4"-.4" in size. So long as they arent causing major damage, dont fret.
