What's the best way to remove this scum??

besides surface skimmer?

I'm doing a small 10% change each day... still seems to form

scum?

err.. is it in a tank or pond or what? is it on the glass? is it sludge rather then scum?

you can try (if it's sludge) to get a sludge scooper/vaccume is it in direct sunlight? pics may help?

Howdy,

lay down paper towels on the surface and the pick them up. They will soak up the film in no time. In the long run, try to increase surface movement, e.g. position your filter inlet above water level, install a power head to move the surface, and/or introduce additional aeration.

Good luck,

Thanks guys...
i changed the filter outlet so now there's more areation... perhaps this would be better...

It used to be a L join that causes more surface curret, now the water pluges in directly.

still... I think there's a thin flim of bubbles by the tank glass...

by an air driven protein skimmer if everything else doesnt seem to work. but aeration and surface movement should be enough to get rid of it.

lol how can it come from the environment?

just happens that the aro dosen't eat his prawn somedays
and it fouls the water if it sits there for anything longer than 2 seconds...

Hair , deoderant, perfume sprays, frying foods, smoke, dust...'ENVIRONMENT'

And rise the prawns, they'll make it 4 seconds then.
