Protein skimmer help? Hurry please

1. Does it remove crap from the water?

2. Is it worth the money?

3. Can it be used in a FW tank?

4. Do you guys recomend it?

It removes suspended protien in the water but everything i have ever heard says they do not work in FW tanks. The water will not foam with out the salt in it.

I use one in my low-end brackish tank actually, and altho it doesnt work nearly as good as if I would use it in a salt, it DOES work..
