Protest On The Highway! Why 55MPH is Ridiculous.

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is wanting to return the 55 mph for federal funding. I feel this is bull sheot. My state recently went to 70 mph. What used to take 3.5 hours, now takes 2.6 hours. Another reason she wants to do this, which I do find viable, is to lower gas consumption. Of course her private jet, and limo don't use that much gas.....lol. In retrospect, why do they not spend some of the money they spend on rebuilding other countries on find alternative fuel sources........

Besides, why not just come out and say, insted of "Speed limits should be increasing over time, as cars become safer and more efficient."

I'm all for faster Highways/interstates. 120kmph is enough maybe 125.

haha that was great...i found that they actually do that in certain parts of the highways and set up a huge patrol there just to catch people driving under the influence. the speed limit will change to 55 with no warning and then theres a cop behind you right away to give you a ticket which is crap.

I agree.. it doesnt matter if we have cars with more airbags or intelligent braking systems if we have schmoes driving a minivan going 50 while reading the newspaper.. In the end its the operator who are responsible for the vehicle and not the other way around.
