Here is a video of my Marbled African lungfish, P.aethiopicus coming up for air.

I was wondering if it is possible to identify the subspecies from the pattern? The colours in the video are distorted due to the lighting, she is a lot darker than in the video. Still very shy she spends most of the time in the pipe, but is becoming more inquisitive and takes food without hesitation.

Hard to see from the vid. But PAA will will have pinkish to yellowish belly as it grows. Also the spots on the forehead are so close together and much larger that they look like bars or stripes. While PAC have more spots in the forehead are much more smaller forming a freckle looking spots. Also PAC have more spots on the belly.
