Hi all,
I recently posted a thread concerning a problem with my scombs eye, somehow it got deleted and without a trace. Now I know they've got cataracts:irked:. Probably due to the stress during transport. I've read that fungicide might help the condition and have found a product called "Protozin" (more details http://www.waterlife.co.uk/waterlife/protozin.htm).
I'm not sure about it, does anyone have any experience on healing a fish with cataracts, any help will be much appreciated! Thank you!:)

i use salt and it clears up in a few days. take care of it quick, these fish degrade quickly
Are you sure the problem was cataracts and not just cloudy eyes effecting only the external region of the eyes? I think I'll try salt first. Thanx for your help!

hydrolycus tend to be sensitive to meds.
i'd raise the temp. and add salt.
I added salt today, around 2ppt. We'll see what happens in the next few days. Thanx man!

I read an article concerning aquarium fish with cataracts, it claims that once the white film is formed, it can't be removed unless done by surgery! I guess I'll have to live with it...
