My 10" flagtail has a small growth on his nose. It is like a scale colored stem with a white tip. Has been there for a couple days and hasn't shown much change. Tried to get pictures, sorry for poor quality. Should I be concerned?

It is diffacult to tell what that is, try doing a 50% water change and dose wit aquarium salt at 1tbls per 5 gallons of water. Observe it for a couple of days and see if there is any change. Has anything new been introduced into the tank recently? Have you been keeping up with regular weekly water changes and scheduled filter maintenance?

Dont know about flagtails, but with my plecos, some have had white bumps on the tip of their snouts, mainly happens with younger ones. Its from running into a peice of driftwood or somethin, normaly not to bad and clears up in week or 2. Do what aquanero said, and keep up with water changes. Hope this helps

Thanks guys. I do 50% every Saturday and keep salt in. You guys don't seem like its something too urgent, so ill watch it and let you know if it gets worse. Thanks for your help!
