After experiencing the difficulty of keeping my silver arowana which died, and made me sad for a whole week, I have resorted to trying it again! This time, I took the advice of picking up a fish that is already with some other fish at similar size, eating healthy with a big stomach, and at a good size!

=( my silver died as some of u might have read or seen the picture!
So i went JARDINI =) My girlfriend knows the importer for all the LFS, so she talked with the manager being the first time in his store, he wuz nice enuff to sell me this Pearl Jardini at 9.5" for $100 CAD  It wuz amazing! Now I have to brag and show him off!

And yah! I wuz gonna give up... until the owner hooked me up at cost price with a Jardini already living with large plecos and cichlids =) and he was FAT!

wow the jardini is beautiful! good luck with him :)

THanks.. i blame the iphone camera! LOL! Somehow he showed as goldish brown on pictures, he doesn't even look that nice in my tank  LOL! But thank you! he's happily swimming around.. and now to TRY and feed!

jardinii is aggressive, more so than silver.
as mine got bigger, it became less aggressive. some is the other way.
its with tinfoil barbs and silver dollars and catfish. fish that generally are too fast or stay out of its way.

i suggest you get a good filter too, i dont know how your last one died
but they need good filtration

My silver refused to eat, not because of filtration!
And thanks for the tip... he does seem a little aggressive!

Sorry to hear about your Silver:(
Nice looking replacement though:D
Good luck with the Jar!
