I wanted to use a 33 long for some red bellies as a grow out before moving them to a 75 or larger(still undecided on size). What would be a realistic number of P's and time they could be housed in the tank? Thanks in advance.

i started mine in the same size i started with 4 of them im now down to 3, but they dont fight they love it. or did lol i moved them out now. they will be fine. what size r they?

i started with one in a ten gallon then 2 in a twenty gallon, they only lasted about a month lol. But know i am thinking about putting 4 in my 55 gallon.

3 red bellies in a 33g long (48"x 12 1/2"x 13") should be fine until they reach at least 6", a few clumps of bushy plants will help minimize fighting.

you could always add in another when u move them into ur 75g if u want 4 which would be the max for that tank if they are going to be in there for life
