PS2 game question...NFSU2

hey guys
i have a quick Q for anyone who plays need for speed underground 2
if you dont play it, this thread is useless because you wont understand a word of it.
so anywho
im in explore mode of career and there are no opponents cruising around. same as in quick frace/free run. WTH?
anyone care to help?

im in a Nissan 2400
they were there last night but i did a bunch of outruns and they dissapeared
not even there in free run mode! i need help, i live for teh Outrun

once you do so many they dissappear untill you unlock the next area. then you get more.

i needed the extra $ cuz my car sucks so i cant win races
and therefore cant win the $$$ to buy upgrades

free run? you mean explore mode?

u get special up grades from some. so there are only so many outruns before you have to unlock more area, then u get more.

no, you can also do outruns in quick race/free run mode
