PS3 Wireless Issues

I just purchased a PS3 a few weeks ago and love it so far. The only problem is when gaming online my connection gets interrupted somewhat often, way more at night than during the day. I really want to stay wireless as I dont want to run an ethernet cable from my family room all the way across the house to the computer room.

Would getting a new/better router help/fix the problem? Right now Im running an old D-LINK DI-524 LINK .

Any suggestions on a new router that will help out the wireless for my PS3? Any other suggestions to improve it?

Same router I use, and have no problem with wireless issues. What is your internet speed like?

My internet speed is great, and when the PS3 wireless works its also great it just loses connection quite a bit. The router is MAYBE 23 feet from the PS3 and through one wall.

If anything you can try getting an extender. The router is a GREAT gaming router so I doubt its a router issue and I have had mine maybe 3+ years.

I was planing to do the wireless on my PS3 as well but I chose not to. It's slower and the connections can drop, not to mention that my router is upstairs and the PS3 is downstairs.

I got these instead and works great.
