hi eveyone just got back from lfs and they have pseudopimolodus apurensis coming in. i dont even know if this is the way to spell it. this is the way they spelt it. has anyone kept these fish before and has anyone got any info on them like what size they get to what fish they can go with etc. i can google it but its always better to talk to people who have kept them
I raised one from 5" to 20" over a couple of years and just recently sold it. They prefer live feeder fish but can be weaned off live and given silversides, frozen fish chunks and nightcrawlers for example. They can be very agressive and territorial and are best kept ALONE! Tankmates their own size and smaller will be eaten, especially the expensive ones. They prefer a gravel bottom and lots of driftwood for shade in the tank. Mine was still growing @ 20" and I've seen reports of them growing from up to 24"and even to 28"
