First off no offence to you you should have done some reasearch before the buy
these fish grow huge up to around 3 feet maby more in the tank they will eventually eat whatever can fit in there mouths including tank mates! As babies i have mine on defrosted shrimp ATm they grow VERY fast and will grow AROUND 1 inch per month maby more!

They get big in a hurry. They eat like there's no tomorrow and they're predatory. One of the true tank busters in the hobby. You'll have a nightmare on your hands within a year if you're not careful.

40cm in one year is a definite possibility with proper care, and feeding. Might even go larger more like 45-50cm.

is going to a indor pond of 3000 gallon in no more than 6 months . is gone be
13.2 feet x6.6x4.95 . this must be god for life for him, my silver, ray, citala, cichla and others:D . iam just waiting for the citty permits to0 start building the fishroom

cool, looks like hes gonna have plenty of room. a friend of mine has one. he feeds it a lot of things like fish, shrimp, mussel and fish filet. This thing grows fast! it went to over 30cm in 5 months. From what i see, its behaviour is pretty simple: during day, most of the time it just chills out and during the night it goes hunting/swimming.

cool, sounds like you might need a couple more monsters to go with him if it's a 3000 gal.

i already order some citala, a channa marulis , 5 parachanna obscura , SA lungfish, and some others , today i deliver a RTC to a friend and brougth acichla temesis and a bichir ornatipinis, i also have some big plecos , ARTC and place a order for some dats:nilly:
