Psudo. Acei spawn....Again!

Well, my Acei spawned about 6 weeks ago....It was a huge spawn. I had four fry that died the first week, my neighbor took 10 fry last week, and someone picked up the remaining 59 fry yesterday....Carry the one.....Wow, 73 fish!!!!!

Anyways, my female spit last night. She is in a tank with black gravel, this time......So, I am unsure how large this spawn is. I'll keep you all posted!

This pair is about 3 years old and they have spawned about 10 times in the past.

Looks to be a spawn of about 60 again....Rough estimate.

What size tank are you breeding them in?

I was moving them from 20 high to 29. When they would breed in the 20, I'd pull the male, let the female spit, then put her back with the male (which would be moved to the 29). I put them in my 220 last week. I have over 100 Acei fry I'm growing out right now, so I'm going to try to get my Saulosi to spawn.

My Acei Spawn in big numbers too. I have 3 and have had them spawn 4 or so times that I have noticed. The two spawns I have kept have been about 60 or 70 as well.

I was amazed the first time I counted the fry.....I expected 30 or so. These are pretty cool fish. I have 6 adults in my 220.
