Psycho fish

I have been growing out a serrasalmus irritans for close to a year. up till recently, when I would service the tank, the fish would take cover until I was finished. now it is stalking me. Gone from Don Knotts to Chuck Norris. The fish has taken to lurking in the shade of an anubias plant and charging out to accost anything that approaches, including me. I have had pygos in the past, but this little terror, about 4 1/2 to 5 inches now, is the meanest little (fill in the blank) I have ever encountered.

I've heard that they become little glass bangers lol.

This one is no exception. Hopefully, he won't injure himself. All I have to do is approach the tank, and he will charge out. He is using that anubias the way a hunter would use a blind.

Many thanks. It has been growing for about ten months. Java fern, anubias, and a carpet of staurogyne repens. I have been occasionally taking cuttings of the S. repens for a 40B, but now I have to keep one eye on what I'm doing, and the other eye on what HE'S doing.

Great way to sharpen your reflex just put a mad and aggressive fish and there you go that all I need from life

Dovii. Now THERE'S a challenge! I would love to have a really big tank, but I would want it on a concrete floor. The only room I have with such is not climate controlled.
