Pterois antennata HELP !!!

Well my lfs finally got one.. and my tank is not yet ready... This lfs doen't keep the fish even if you pay them the full amount..

And is 50$ (usd) ok for one...???

So i was wondering if i could keep him in a 2x1x1 for about 2 months ? He's about 5"


Then ill move him to the 36x18x18..

50 US fair.. i paid a little less than that for my fuzzy dwarf.. so i take it back.. $50 is GREAT!

the tanks sound fine size-wise.. as long as the first tank is cycled

I have the 2x1x1 running for 8months now.. So i can def keep in the 2x1x1 for 2 months...??????

The antennata is actually 40$ not 50..

Will there be any problem if i keep the lion with an anemone..its a Heteractis aurora..


Fuzzy dwarfs are cheaper.. around 25$

watch it closly, but i have seen many lions with corals. Anemone's, im not 100% sure on but if comes down to it, you can just do a divider to keep the nem on one side and the lion on the other. This will boil a lot of tank space but could work. and its only temp as well anyways so its an option.

Otherwise another method i have seen is to put a new filter on the established tank and moved the established filter to the new tank, with a lot of aged water and some of the original rock as well. This will help keep the tank stable if and only if you have to put the lion in the new tank without a solid cycle. Its a back up if the lion and nem dont get a long.
