About a month back I picked up a group of 6 silver-dollar sized leopoldis for my 65 gal tank. I've kept scalare angels for years, but this was my first foray into the leos. They've definitely got a little attitude on them. :)

I'm enjoying them a bunch. A couple are starting to get some nice blue on their gill covers. They eat like absolute piggies, and they're always begging for more.

Anyone bred these guys?

Grew some wild caught Leopoldis a few years ago. Got rid of them and sold them to another breeder. There was not much of a market for them. Only true Angelfish enthusiast looks for them. Most stores here prefers the Scalare types....and Altums are much too hard to breed and very few know how to keep them alive.

If you're patient you should be able to breed Leos the same way you have the Scalares.
