So, my Tarantsy babies are about 2 months post spawn. There's well over 100. It appears that all of the wigglers that became free swimming fry have survived. They're doing really well and are about 3/4 inch at this point. They have ravenous appetites and are just fascinating to watch. For my first spawn, I'm still amazed at how well they have fared! Mom and Dad look like they're about to spawn again soon
I've recently moved the them from their 10g to a 30g and noticed a problem with just one fish. I'm not sure if its an injury or deformity. It looks like the second half of the dorsal fin is missing. It doesn't appear to be a new injury, but there's a dip in its body just beyond the spot on the fin. I've tried to get a pic, but its impossible to catch it at the right moment. I'm positing pics from their new home below
I pulled the rock from the parents tank when the wigglers began moving. The parents ate most of the eggs before I pulled the rock. They've only been in the 10g and 30g, with no other fish. Any thought folks?
Thanks, Laurie
