public lake

The public lake in my town has a walking/running track around it and as I was walking. Someone was reeling in a fish, and it was a KOI. I kept walking and saw more HUGE KOI swimming up to the banks at the top begging for food it seemed. I guess they got to big for someones pond.....I don't know if it's a bad thing or what. Just weird to see someone catch one while fishing lol

Thats sooooo wrong if someone just dropped them in there to just be fished...there shoudnt be fishing allowed then.

It prolly came from someones pond, for whatever reason. Its not a huge disaster but it should be taken out since its not a indigenous species.

i know alot of popular places might have ponds that have fish...mostely koi....if somewhere nearby shut down a store or whatever it was they probably had no where to put them so they put them in the lake...what would you have done

sometimes the city will make a pond and throw koi and carp in them for looks.

If it's a man made lake it's not really a big deal as long as they were intending for them to be there. If they were dumped there, that's moronic.

yeah the city built this park and built the "lake" afterward and im positive they are koi. they are really huge also.
