Anyone done this? Or is it not wise to do so? Leaving Hawaii and moving to Vegas and only fish im bringing with me is my mbu that my gf can't seem to let go of.

I did this and it worked out fine to a degree. I mean as long as i kept my mbu full he was cool. If it was a minute between feeds he did nip a few fins. However the bichirs recovered. I would just add plenty of hides and plants to put in the puffer's field of view like you would do for Cichlids. And make sure ur bichir are on the larger side relative to the mbu. As rule mbus dnt really go after fish however if the hunger calls anyone in the tank could be fair game.
It depends on the Mbu, mine went after my gars fins all the time, but never bothered anything else.
What size Mbu are we talking about anyway? They usually tend to be more of a handful the smaller they are.
Well I am mostly balls haha. I've kept them together for a good 4-5yrs. I find my ornates are more nippy than the p-bangs
