anyone have any luck housing LARGE fugus? i have one huge one housed alone,he is a beast...just wondering if anyone had any luck suggestions etc...or he will stay my "dog" in a tank LOL...so cool to have, but i hear they can gut fish with thier beaks in an instant.... i never was a fan but this guy is unreal,check the videos on my site!


any suggestions?
 
true Tezr mines a pretty big guy. lovespellets, did you say you have yours in salt? or brackish tank? whats the salinity reading you keep, fugus are suppose to be one of the only puffers from what i hear that can live thier lifes in fresh...i keep mine 100% fresh pH 7.2 but def sems to be to mean to put with anyone, except "white" goldfish, he doesnt seem to like them only the colored ones :D
 
Fahakas and Mbu both live their whole life in fresh, their are several others.
Actually Fugus are supposed to be a brackish (when young) and Salt (when adults) puffer. But I have
heard of peeps keeping them for years in fresh.
