I have a 10 gallon tank that I am currently growing out some convicts in. Im thinking of putting a puffer in it when I move the convicts out, what type of puffer can I put in a 10 gallon?

There are a couple different kinds of puffers that might work. I am in the process of picking out a small puffer for my densely planted 10g aquarium myself. (Moving out the SMB)

That being said the best bet would probably be Carinotetraodon travancoricus, which is the dwarf indian puffer, pea puffer...whatever people want to call it. Its supposed to be active during the day, and can even be bred in captivity. Im sure that pufferpunk will have something to say about this thread tomorrow.

You could keep 3 dwarf puffers, if heavily planted or a single of any of the other Carinotetraodon species:

Make sure you do not get a bunch of males!

I got two dwarf puffers, I was so excited to find them and they were the last ones at the store...I get home and realize they are both males and the big one started picking on the little one so I had to separate them :(
