My puffers both got sucked onto the intake of a 250 gph powerhead and now have loose skin like wrinkles that looks a little raw. The little one is having a problem swimming, so I isolated him. They are in a brackish tank so I can't add salt to help. Is there anything I should do or worry about because of this? I fixed the intake problem so it won't happen again.

Melefix and seachem stress guard should help ....good luck!!:)

LOL oh gaww that has happened to me before with Juv.'s LOL, as long as the skin isn't broken they should be fine, just watch them. If the skin was cut, add some stress reliever, move them to a med tank if others pick on them, and go ahead an add an anti-fungal/bacterial too to guard from infection if ya want to. Check out the little guy to make sure the fins were'nt torn, if they were - def. keep an eye on him to make sure no infection forms. If not, just give it time. Other than that, they should be fine and hopefully are more directionally wise now, lol.

Em,

He's going a lot better now! I might put him back in the main tank tommorrow!

Merry Christmas
