I feed Rosie Reds once and a while maybe like one a month... I havent had any problems thus far!!!

puffers more then any fish are seceptable to all deseases ... i had a two inch fahaka that grew to 6 inches ...then one day i decided to give him feeders he got ick...tried to uses meds they didn't help...my poor little bugger died shortly after

I had the same experiance, i tried live foods for my fahaka once and he got ick and he was really sick for about a month or so but finily pulled thru, now all i feed him live are snails and fresh water clams and the odd batch of ghost shrimp.

I've had puffer for years and I stay away from feeder fish but I do feed them crayfish, ghost shrimp, clams, and kind of little crabs. All so salad shrimp from the grocery store works very well. I like feed frozen better becausae its easier to get awholed of.

Puffers get disease just as easy as clown loaches and anyother scaleless fish. for Ick bump your temp up to about 79-82 can use a half dose of a non-copper based ich med.
