Puffer not eating live ghost shrimp...?

Hi all,

My fugu is about 3" now but it doesn't eat live ghost shrimp. I have a bunch of shrimp sharing the tank with it but he just ignore them.

Another tank with 2 GSP (2") acts the same too, they don't seems to have any interest in the shrimps.

any idea why?

I'm not sure about the fugu, but my GSP acts the same way. When I first got ithe would eat them like crazy, but after a few months "he" lost all interest in them. He much prefers frozen food. My fish likes clams or mussels on the half shell, frozen market shrimp, bloodworms, and an occasional treat of krill. Maybe try some of these with your fish. Good luck, and I would love to see some pics.

i noticed their teeth are still very small, that might be the problem.

No big deal... Actually it's a good thing, they'll make for great maid service! No nutrition in them anyway, unless gut-loaded.
