I have had my MBU for a few months and it is a somewhat peaceful fish providing your are not a crab or snail.
Currently she is in a sand bottom 150 with a couple small cichlids and a pleco.
I have a separate small tank (55) with three small GSP's.
Would it be totally insane to attempt putting them together?

In all the research I have done it seems like this would end poorly.
And I have a 250 to move all the puffers into. I just would fear mayhem would follow.

Anyone?

Nothing eh?
I probably would not attempt this without having 2-3 days off to monitor the situation.

First off, GSP's require pretty much full Salt when they are mature, so no mixing it with an MBU (which is obviously freshwater) is not going to work, plus even the GSP's will eventually need a bigger tank...

Next problem is a MBU, mainly because it will also require a larger tank, around 800G+ tank due to bio load and size of the fish when mature at 36"...

I have a 540 for the MBU that needs major repair as it is badly scratched. But I figure I will not need it for a few months. The GSP's have been in brackish water but I am not ready to start maintaining a full salt tank yet.
I did not imagine this would work out for an array of other issues as well.
Thanks

^ well, as long as you basically have everything you need you should be okay then.., but yeah, i would most probably try and avoid mixing the GSP's with other fish though, since they are notorious nippers...
