Puffer tankmates

What do you all keep with your Fahaka puffer? I am getting one next week and was going to try something with it. Maybe just a rock and driftwood from what I have read.

Thats pretty much it, substrate, rocks and driftwood are the best tank mates... Anything else has a chance of getting killed...

You could try some African cichlids or zebra danios.

All those as long as ur fine with them being food... And really, if the fahaka is smaller I wouldnt do africans because they could beat on him since they are so aggressive.

I have a yellow lab with my Fahaka, and i can tell you there have been close calls where my fahaka has given the yellow lab a warning bit in the past where it could have easily taken off the yellow labs tail...

I keep my fahaka alone, unless I don't mind if whatever is in there becomes food.
