I have a 2 inch Green Spotted Puffer and was wondering if it would be ok to put a moray eel in with it. preferably a small one. any suggestions? thanks :)

please NO!

Reasons:

1. FW moray eels are actually saltwater moray eels

2. They get very large

3. Either your puffer will bite the eel or the eel will eat your puffer

4. You have already crammed a GSP in a ten gallon tank...why make a moray suffer too?

I just watched your youtube video, cute little puffer..hehe. I have 2 of them. It's really hard to know what you can keep with a gsp, I have heard that you can keep certain fish to you cannot have anything else in the tank. I have one puffer who is friendly and actually gets lonely when he is by himself. Then I have the other one who dominates the tank and once they get bigger I will have to seperate them :(

yah morays rnt supposed to be in brakish it is just KREWLLLLL!

There are many BW morays & the puffer will eventually go into SW. It has been done, with enough hiding places for the eel. Corvus, at TPF is the moray expert.

im not gonna try it i just wondered what people would say... and my puffer will hopefully be getting his own 210g tank

I have one in with my F8 puffers but I wouldn't try one with the more aggressive GSP. You can go with more GSPs, Ceylon puffers or SW fish as yu bring it up to marine conditions.

yeah i was thinking of a 20g for now for him cuz hes not too big and enjoys his little cave. hes twittering his fins at me right now lol... hes begging for snails cuz every time i come near his tank he starts "hopping" towards the top and is only satisfied after a big snail meal. lol... maybe an archerfish with him for looks... or i could try another puffer if i find one his size lol.
