Which of these puffers would be least likely to nip at ropefish tankmates? Figure-8 puffer or Schoutendi puffer?

(ropefish can go in light brackish so there's no worry about salinity, i merely want to know which of these two puffers is less nippy to a ropefish. thank you)

Don’t put either with a rope fish.
Not only is there a risk of either thinking the rope is a large worm, but also that the rope decides the significantly smaller puffer is lunch, and that doesn’t end well for anyone.
Even if the rope can go in light brackish, it probably shouldn’t.

Yeah your first piece of advice is probably true. The salinity part not so much but you're probably right about the puffer thinking it's a big worm. Thanks.

B/w the two schoutedni is less likely to nip and can be tolerant of tankmates.

I know of a couple people that keep schoutedenis, ropefish, congo tetras, small mormyrids, etc. in African biotopes without many issues, but never having kept a schoutedeni, I'm not sure just how true how "peaceful" they truly are. I do recall keeping three large C. asellus with a ropefish in a 75 before with no issues (although the ropefish was rather small and the entire setup was decently planted). I find that ropefish often tend to be ignored by characteristically "nippy" species as long as sufficient cover and space is provided.

i kept schoutedeni with two elipsifer eels in a tang. setup for a number of years. I wouldn't be concerned, especially since i've never seen a rope fish small enough for one of these guys to eat
