Puffers & Medication

Hi All,

Well here is something I feel really bad about.

I had a tank with 4 Red Eyed Puffers. One of them got Ich, so I put some medication into the tank. A day or so later one of the other Puffers wasn't looking too happy, but I continued to use the medication. Esha 2000, which is supposed to me really mild and cures most mild ailments.

A week later I had 4 dead Puffers.

A few weeks later I read an article on Puffers that they are very senstive to medication.

Wish I would have known this first

And also a lesson not to treat with medication without first knowing what you are doing!

Sorry to hear about that, your reaction was right, but not well-informed.

It's always best to check/ask questions or do some research, which doesn't take a lot of time... a week's a long time... and the internet's so useful.

Yeah, I know now
Thing is, fish were looking poor, so I kept adding the medicine. Didn't realise that it was the cause of the problem.
