Yo guys. I'm thinking of introducing a puffer to my pleco comm. Is it do-able?

am looking to introduce a young fahaka into the tank. Would a 3 x 2.5 x 2 ft tank be suitable?

I'm new to puffers XD

If the fahaka is like 99% of them out there, the other fish won't last the night. My friend had a 4" fahaka bite her 8" pleco in 1/2, within seconds of being introduced to the tank.

hmm...ok. I think i'll pass on the idea. Spent alot of money on the plecos. Thanks!

I love plecos! Which ones do you keep?

I got 2 L168, 1 L128, 1 L200, 2 L134, 1 L47, 1 L52. hahaha.

By the way, if i were to hypothetically get rid of the plecs....would the tank be appropriate for a Fahaka?

I'm no expert, but i think they become quite large and will need a tank twice the length you have now.
But i'm willing to be corrected!

Fahakas get very large. They need a 500 litre tank, when adult. And they should live alone.

Very interesting fish to keep, by the way ( as are the mellower, but bigger Mbus )

Miguel is correct.

hmm..ok. Looks like that idea is gone out the window.
