so i know i have packed alot of big fish in my tank right but i only want a few more if possible and if not its ok i really only want one more. I have always wanted a pufer fish i think they r so cool but i dont know what will be ok with my other fish. I get my 80g thursday next week and i am stoked and i bought it wide so i have lots of running around room its 48x18x21 comes complete for 200$. But i want a puffer i want one to finish off my tank! so my main question is can i get one and have it live with my other fish and if so what kind should i get?

Puffers usually dont do well w/ other fish. Most tend to be pretty aggressive and kill their tankmates. Some species of Puffers can live w/ their own species but mixing w/ other fish is a NO-NO. Smaller puffers can even damage much larger fish, nip fins and take chunks out of them. And of course larger puffers can bite fish in two. Im not saying people out there have not done it, but most of the time it wont work, and if u cn save the trouble...then why not. Hope this helps.

majority of puffers don't mix we'll with other fish the only ones that do are small or giant
