Has anyone had success at breeding figureeight puffers??

I have not heard of the figure 8's breeding either. However, I've heard that Fahaka's have been bred. I can't remember where I saw it. Must be one the puffer forums, and I don't remember that link either.

On another note, I don't think I've grown ones with red leaves before. Must be potent.

F8 Puffers have been spawned in captivity, but it is incredibely hard to raise the fry, as they have an extremely specialized diet. It would likely not be worth the effort to raise the fry as well, as you would end up spending 10x the worth of a F8 puffer on live food cultures which are tedious and time consuming. F8 puffers do not demand a high price, and are very common where they are harvest from, and that is the reason you will likely never see a spawning/breeding project develop on a major scale.. It's just not worth the time or money, for commercial fisheries or hobbyist alike.
