I was wondering if my 3" sunfish would eat my 3" bichirs im a little worried because i caught him the other day and hes really smart he ate all the feeders i left with him the other night i thought his mouth would be injured due to me hooking him but hes eating that night so i was thinking of puttin him with my main tank with pbass, indo datnoid, and my 3x3"senegal& albino and my 4-5" delhezi

You could try it but bichirs are the BEST possible shape to swallow for predators. I had a hujita that ate a ropefish 2 inches longer then itself, but if the pbass won't eat it maybe the sunfish won't they do have small mouths. I just wouldn't chance it but it might work out.

i mean my dat and pbass both have way bigger mouths then the sunfish but im thinking the sunfish is wild and will naturally try to eat the bichir

alright thanks you guys makes me feel more safe haha i put him in this morning and hes getting bullied by my datnoid right now

Pumpkins have small mouths. If you had Greens i would be more concerned. Pumpkins will be fine with the birchirs as long as territory is not a problem. Same size, birchir's are not food for pumpkins when close to same size.

Then he better kill him, because the tide will certainly turn and quickly

You think so? are they aggresive? i had bluegills before but not with this set up. My dat owns the tank he thinks hes a cichlid he bullies my convicts also
