Hi everyone, figure id post this here in addition to diyfishkeepers

I've been looking at a 125 gallon tank, its about 6' wide, 20" tall, 20" deep. I was thinking that i could make an integrated filter along the width of the tank so it would be 6' wide, 4" deep and 17 or 18" tall. giving me a volume of 22 gallons.

I'd love to have it set up with sponge, and some kind of media to support lots of bacteria, but i also want it to have a good flow turnover, yet keep it relatively quiet, so to be honest, i dont think a magdrive 12 would be the best idea. can someone please advise me on a strong, yet quiet pump? tank will be beside my bedroom, and incase anyone is wondering, i wwas thinking of making a spraybar as the output to dispurse the current a bit.

Use a couple of power heads to direct flow in different directions or quiet one 4000 which is 900 or so gph power heads would be dead silent with the quiet one 4000 you would have a bit of noise.
You could run a mag12 on the tank you just have to cut the teeth where it overflows accordingly and space your baffles with the same thing in mind. It is completely doable

If it's in the tank I'd go with powerheads aswell since they are quiet, are less expensive, use less electricity, boast high flow rates, and wont be required to be pushing any real head pressure
