no these pumps are made to run for about 5 min. and it running all the time will rune it and your better off spending a bit more and getting a good one thats ment for contiuse use. unfortunetly the duty cycle on these sucks, i wanted to use one or two for my pond but i nearly got b!tchslapped by a customer standing next to me that builds ponds for a living. the bearings and seals arnt ment for prolonged use...

I love prinessauto though, where are you from?

So what type of pump should i be looking for will it say made for continuos use???

well depending on the size of the W/D and the tank size a powerhead is cheap and works well, but a mag-drive pump is best in that the impeller is magneticly driven this is easyer for cleaning. if its a bigger tank and you need more drive then a shaft pump with a snailshell like housing is the best way to go, its more electricly efficent then a mag drive but its harder or nex to imposable to clean without totaly taking it apart...

Sorry i dont have any pics handy at the moment im sure someone will come along and share...
