Recommendations for aquarium sump pumps? I have a 20 gallon sump pumping to a 90 gallon aquarium. I am looking for a reliable pump. Should I do two pumps? Btw this is a DIY project with DIY sump made from knock off rubber maid storage solutions. :)

I use Mag Drive and Laguna pumps. With the Mags I plumb directly with PVC, and they give off some heat. The Luguna is built to use flexible tubing, PVC can be used but a bit of a hassle, Lagunas are quieter, and use less electricity, run cooler. Size of pump depends on how much flow, for what kind of fish. Size can go from 500gph on up. 1 pump does the job, but having another as a back up is a good idea.
If you crowd your fish and they come from a high flow river you may need more flow, if you have a few backwater fish, less flow.

Thanks for the recommendations. 2 is probably overkill. I will get one now, and maybe add another at some other point in the future. I just ordered a Laguna Submersible Water Pump, 470-GPH. I think it should do the trick.
