Pump for wet/dry

So i was trying to adjust the wet dry so i can get it so it wont over flow. Well in the process i was unpluging the motor, to well i show my g/f how it worked now it wont pump. It vibrates but wont pump, where can i get a new pump or whats wrong with it?

how do i get to it? do i need to take the whole pump apart, Also when i take it apart should there be water in the whole thing or should the inside be dry?

what kind of pump is it ? i only have experience in submersible and what i do if that happens
is i open it up and clean the impeller with a tootbrush to get all the gunk that is preventing it from spinning properly. But always have a spare pump in stock. Pumps always fail you at the worst possible times.

Got it, took the cover off, it had so much gunk it wasnt funny working now though
