I am going to set up a 40 long breeding tank for my peacocks cichlids. Due to putting it on a shelf in my basement their is no space for a HOB. So I'm building me a canister filter out of 4" PVC that will be 2 feet long. My question what flow rate pump should I get. One pump I was thinking on getting was 225 GPH the other is 295 GPH. (Was leaning toward the 295). thanks for suggestions.
