Pump Suggestions for 700 gal Tank

I have a 700 gal freshwater tank currently running with a quiet one 14000 high head pump. The pump fails to restart after a power outage (or brown out) so I'm looking for another pump. I've already replaced one before that failed on me (different issue) - not sure why I got the same one??

I need a wet/dry or dry pump that will last! I was considering a pond/spa/small pool pump as potential replacements. It doesn't have to be ultra quiet, as the pump is now located outside (it will be exposed to the elements). Not sure if it's important, but eventually the tank will be converted to salt when the current occupants have "moved on" to fishy heaven.

Needed a small pump to eliminate the accumulated water from pool cover after the snowfall dissolved. Labored in the pool market for nearly three generations and was well known with the company name so I ordered this one after examining a few ideal opinions.
