Is it out of water? Place a pad or equivalent underneath to absorb vibration. Do you also have PVC connected by chance?

Hello; I put my air pump in the basement and ran a long air line thru a hole in the floor up to my tanks.

If that is not possible; Generally the best solution for me has been to hang a n air pump in some way. Rubber bands or something similar have done best. A word of caution if using rubber bands, after a time they break. I will have a secondary length of chord to catch the pump or just make a loop in the power chord.

If you decide to go the route of padding or wrapping it is something keep in mind that it needs to draw in air and that some heat is generated.

I have found that a suitable sized hammer will quiten a noisy air pump, but it leads to additional issues. Not really the best solution at all.

skjl47, a QuietOne is a water pump, usually used as a return pump.
OP, it has been my experience, I wrap the return tubing with foam pipe insulation where it touches anywhere. Also, a cushion underneath, like pot scrubbies or a piece of foam,(submersible) works great. Also, when the pump gets dirty, at least mine does, cleaning the impeller and impeller well smoothes out vibration.

Hello; Thanks for the catch and correction. I have not used one and should have realised with the 1400 gph rating.

I put large sponges under pumps, and next to any piping that touches the sides of tanks, or sumps.
The pic below is from my barrel sump, during a water change.

I have bought a short piece of a super soft silikon hose.
The hose is fitted between the pump outlet and the pvc pipes.
Direct pvc piping at the pump will cause a lot off noise and vibrations.
Another idea is to hang the pump in the sump with some kind off fishing line so it doesnt touches any part of the tank.
I hope this helps.
