Hi..is there anyway i can hook a tank up to run off my main 55G tank. i want to setup a mini tank 5-10Ltr for some fry?
is there a small pump/system or something on the market which would do the job?? i've never had babies before y'know! not sure what to do!

A sponge filter is what you need for the fry's. Fill the small fry tank with the main tank water(the waters that they were born in) and place the sponge filter in.

i dont quite understand how this works? can you elaborate? i have a sponge filter somehwere..but i dont understand how it would work.

Ok first off you dont need to have the fry tank hooked up to run off the main tank. Its easier if you just have the fry tank as a whole seperate tank. The sponge filter is the filter of the fry tank. It will filter the water with out sucking up the fry's.

eh...this is what i dont want. i want the fry tank running off the main tank..but i just need a way of pumping the water from tank to tank.

You could do something "refugium-esque" like this:
