ok my question is . on my new/OLD! 55 gal tank I have at each end 11'' long bar type air bubbler's , my filteration is a fluval 404( worked well for me / no carbon..) and aqua clear 50 also at opposite end's .. now point in question the bubble's that get sucked in to the fluval cause it to make a serging or raspy mechanical sound it does'nt seem to be inhibting water flow, but sound's funny . Is there any chance of damage from this . I'am aware of the benifet's of air directly pumped from in side of the filter for bacteria growth, but as far as for it being suck in ??? but never the less the aqua clear make's no noise.. I'am no longer doing this just as a precaution with the fluval until advice is recieved.. if you are wondering what's dwell's in the tank a now 7.5'' managuense and a 8.5'' TSN.. sadly my oscar 11'' snowflake.broke the lid while I was at work ,yeah man the dog wound up eating him..
. but on the other hand I now have a little more time to get a 250 now :naughty..
